Municipality of Meaford Recreation Funding

Recreation funding, with assistance from the Municipality of Meaford, is available for both children and adults and is distributed based on financial need.

Children & Youth

This program will cover any recreation activity including minor sports, art/drama programs, camps, swimming, non-resident fees, school trips, Scouts, Girl Guides, cooking classes, fitness memberships, and more. It applies primarily to programs offered within the Municipality of Meaford, but also may apply to registration fees from established recreation, amateur, and house league level organizations in other neighbouring communities like Owen Sound, Thornbury, Chatsworth, etc.

How to Qualify – To qualify, you must:

  • Live in the Municipality of Meaford
  • Be 18 years old or under

Adult

This program will cover registration fees to any recreation and culture programs facilitated within the Municipality of Meaford by either the municipality and/or service groups.

Participants are required to 10% of the total cost, or a minimum of $25. Adults may be funded for multiple activities up to $200 per adult per year. This is subject to the discretion of Meaford Food Bank and Outreach, and available funding.

How to Qualify – To qualify, you must:

  • Live in the Municipality of Meaford
  • Be over the age of 19
